Nov 14, 2019 Watch a trailer for new album "Suite of Seventies" - Breaking Benjamin - Suite of Seventies(October 30, 2019) Category:The Beatles**[Adsorption Kinetics and Mechanism of Cu(II) on Cr(III)-Modified Nitrogen-Doped Graphene Oxide (Cr(III)-N-GO)]{}** Yifei Jin, Zhuo Tan, Shiyun Wang, Zhenhua Wang Sulfonated graphene oxide, which is also called zwitterionic graphene oxide, has found many potential applications due to the special advantages of its cationic and anionic components[@b1][@b2]. For example, the zwitterionic characteristics make the sulfonated graphene oxide possess excellent selectivity and large capacity for toxic pollutants[@b3]. In our previous research, sulfur containing groups on the N-GO sheets can make the GO sheet more positively charged under ambient condition, which leads to the increase of the electrostatic attraction between the negatively charged Cu(II) ions and the positively charged GO. This can be beneficial for the adsorption of Cu(II) ions due to the favorable electrostatic interaction[@b4]. In addition, as we know, the adsorption of Cu(II) ions on GO is of the fast exchange[@b5]. In this work, sulfur containing groups are modified to N-GO sheets via heat polymerization, and the obtained polymer is denoted as N-GO. As shown in the [Fig. 1a](#f1){ref-type="fig"}, the produced N-GO contains a large number of nitrogen atom along the edges, which can greatly enhance the adsorption performance of the N-GO on the surface of Cu(II) ions. In [Fig. 1b](#f1){ref-type="fig"}, it can be observed that N-GO can achieve the adsorption equilibrium at 30 °C in 30 min, and the equilibrium adsorption capacity of N-GO toward Cu(II) ions is 4.1 mg/g at the same temperature. The adsorption kinetics of Cu(II) ions on the N-GO is investigated by the following [Eq. 82138339de
